Axial Compression Spring Columns

MODcol introduced a new concept for preparative HPLC chromatography - the Axial Compression Spring™ Column -  featuring a powerful internal spring to keep pressure levels at rigid specifications within the column. As the volume occupied by the media gradually contracts, the spring expands to fill the space between the piston and the packed column bed, yielding longer durability and more efficiency.

Multipacker instrument for self-slurry packing

The Multipacker^TM is an on-site instrument for self-slurry packing of axial compression spring-loaded columns. Using a unique piston technology, the instrument can slurry-pack a MODcol axial compression column in minutes. The newly packed column is then disengaged for stand-alone use, while the Multipacker is immediately ready to pack another column. MODcol Modular Fixed Bed Flange Standard Columns for Preparative HPLC

These patented 316 stainless steel columns are known for highest quality, durability and their special, leak-proof double O-ring seals. The combination of zero void end plates and unique disperser frits provides uniform dispersion over the top of the media. The design of the Modcol process and industrial scale columns is based on the same-patented components as all of its preparative and semi-preparative columns. The result is a complete family of columns providing exceptional scale up performance.

Pilot Plant and Industrial Flange Columns

For the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, MODcol manufactures industrial size fixed bed columns from 150 mm (6") up to 600 mm (24") id. As with all MODcol columns each is Electropolished and Passivated to insure chemically resistant walls especially important in separation of peptides and proteins.
